“He loved her, he lost her , the consequences were crushing”

Sunflower Crush was created by the members of the Suisha Arts theatre group. The film was created over a period of two years. Participants of this groups are made up of people who have intellectual disabilities who are interested in the arts.  The pre-production for this film was extensively documented via art work and interviews with Suisha’s Theatre Group members. The film “Sunflower Crush” was shot in 2017. The soundscape for the film was designed by musician Martina Stafford, co- written by members of Suisha theatre group, Ciaran Bermingham and Allison O' Flynn. Sunflower Crush is directed by Allison O’Flynn and produced by Paul Sherlock. It features a promising actor Diarmuid O'Leary playing the role of Mark. It has been released onto the Film Festival Circuit over the last tow years screening at the Fastnet Film Festival, First Cut Film Festival, and the Cork Indie Film Festival .
