EVENT: Live Twitter Conversation on Disability and Cultural Management on 24th June

You are cordially invited to participate in a Twitter Conversation on Disability and Cultural Management supported by Arts for All and hosted by Kate Mitchell on The Circus Factory Cork’s Twitter profile at 4-5pm on 24th June 2021

In March 2021, Kate participated in a two day Disability and Cultural Management Training course with Accesso Cultura, Portugal supported by Arts for All and Cork City Council.

Kate is a professional circus artist who began her career as a circus enthusiast in 2014. Kate's disciplines are hula hoop and aerial silks. She is passionate about sharing circus and has been developing outreach programs for Cork Circus Factory for the last 3 years. Kate graduated from University College Cork in 2019 with B.Soc.Sc Youth and Community during which she completed her dissertation on ‘Youth Circus as pedagogical tool for non-formal education’. She is excited to engage in the Twitter discussion to discuss how individuals and institutions can make art more accessible for everyone.

The conversation will platform the social model of disability and invite stories, questions and ideas on making cultural spaces and experiences more accessible and inclusive.

Connect with Circus Factory Cork (@circusfactorc) and join us by listening, supporting and sharing.

Please share this invitation with your networks especially cultural managers, practitioners and audiences.
